Delicious recipe for Gooey Salted Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars- a rich and decadent dessert!

1 cup (2 sticks) salted butter, at room temperature
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated white sugar
2 large Eggland's Best eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
10 ounces soft caramels, unwrapped (about 40 pieces)
1 teaspoon flaked sea salt

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.  Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with foil and coat liberally with cooking spray.
In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to combine the butter and both sugars on medium speed for 2 minutes until fluffy.
Add the eggs, vanilla, salt and baking soda and continue mixing until smooth, scraping the sides of the bowl as necessary.
Turn the speed to low and add the flour until combined.  Stir in the chocolate chips.
Press half the dough into the prepared pan.
